How To Treat Acne Naturally

Natural acne treatment is of the best ways to safely and effectively remove acne from the skin.

Plenty of individuals are looking for a natural acne treatment. They may be doing so because their chemical products have not worked. Or, even worse, these chemical products may have completely destroy their skin far worse then the acne. Chemical products often come with side effects that natural acne treatments do not. For this reason and plenty of others, selecting a natural cure for acne appears to be the logical way to go.

What Is Natural?

A natural cure for acne will be that has products in it that are not synthetic but naturally occurring in the world. These products can be virtually anything as long as they are non poisonous to the body. Plenty of natural acne skin care products are the best for your body as the body already knows how to work with these natural substances and therefore can be better suited for you.

What is Available Then?

There's several natural products available to help individuals to remove acne. These products range in what they are and how they are used so it is important for you to know how to make use of them properly. Most of the acne skin care treatments available will include a lot of different vitamins, proteins and natural acids. Some may contain zinc as it is widely known for being effective in the treatment of acne. Some will include Chromium as this has been shown to help. In most cases, there will be a combination of products that work together at treating the acne.

Why Is It There?

Thing that is important to think about when treating acne is why it is there in the first place. When you find this out, you are better able to finding an acne treatment that will work for your specific condition. There's main causes of acne that have a lot to do with each other. First off, acne skin care treatments may assault the bacteria that are on the face causing the infection which is the acne itself. But, these bacteria will likely have an interest in the skin because of the high amount of oils there.

Some individuals have glands that are working overtime to produce and this provides bacteria the final place to live. Most acne skin care products need to work on both aspects of turning off the oil and getting rid of the acne.

The best natural acne treatment is the that is well suited to your specific situation. Yet, it is ideal for you to make use of natural products as they are the best suited, in most cases, to offer you a fighting chance against acne.

Eating Plan During Pregnancy

You already know it is important to eat a well-balanced diet, but it is even more important when you are pregnant. Keep in mind now you are eating for two. Whatever you eat, the baby eats as well. In fact the baby actually takes your nourishments so you must eat enough for both of you. The healthier you eat the better it is for the pregnancy and you.

Never miss a meal while you are pregnant, especially breakfast. Breakfast is the most important meal of the day and your baby has probably been waiting since he/she woke up in the middle of the night. You may learn that if you wait so long before eating you start to feel sick, this is your body telling you to eat. Do it!

Make sure you are getting enough of the food you need daily. It takes 4-6 servings of dairy a day for a healthy pregnancy, this can include some cheeses, milk, yogurt. This provides the baby with calcium which it’ll need to develop healthy growing bones. Adding extra calcium to your diet wouldn’t hurt you either, especially your teeth and bones.

Don’t forget about your fruit and vegetable servings. Lots of green is always a good choice, so are sweet potatoes. Not only will you be giving your body what it needs but you’ll start to have more energy. Try laying off the sweets for a week and replace them with healthier items and see how alive you feel.

Foods to Avoid

Not all foods are safe during your pregnancy, there are a few things you should avoid eating:

- Unpasteurized products- brie

- Certain fish- exotic, shark, swordfish, anything high in mercury

- Raw eggs

- Undercooked meats- lunch meats. If you are buying a deli sandwich you can ask for them to eat the meat up a little.

- Caffeine- soda, chocolate. If you find this difficult you can wean yourself off, but the less caffeine in your system the better it is for the baby.

If you are ever unsure of the foods you can eat you can ask your doctor for a list of items to avoid during pregnancy. They’ll be more than happy to share this with you.

You may also learn that your stomach won’t handle certain foods that it would before. Some of those foods may include foods that contain grease, fast foods, meat, and certain foods that have a strong odor.

Eating healthy doesn’t mean you have to cut out all the fun in your life, you can still treat yourself from time to time. Go out and get a frozen yogurt or a smoothie.

While you are making sure you get enough to eat throughout the day, that doesn’t mean neglect your fluid intake. You’ll need lots of water and juices from here on out. The baby will thank you later. Who knows, you may discover that you really enjoy eating healthier and continue it even after the pregnancy.

Staying Fit During Pregnancy

Keeping fit during your pregnancy is great for you, not only will it help you keep your body toned but it also can help when it comes time to push that baby out. Every pregnant woman wants to be able to go back to her pre-pregnancy weight after the baby is born, but the only way to do that is to make sure you can. By excising or working out every day you are making sure you don’t add fat to your body. During labor it’ll be much easier to push the baby if you’ve been strengthening your leg and stomach muscles. Who knows, it may even make labor a little bit shorter. Isn’t that what we all want?

Plus when you are tired and just feeling a little blue, just by exercising you actually increase your energy.

Here are a few quick things you can do to stay fit during pregnancy, without really having to break out a sweat. I’m sure by now you’ve heard of yoga, this is a very good thing for you to practice, especially if you haven’t always been in the best of shape. Not to worry, there are beginning levels here, you don’t have to jump into the human pretzel right away. Try purchasing a set of small weights that you can use throughout the house, like hand weights or wrist weights that can use while walking. Instead of just laying on the couch while you rest you can be lifting small weights.

Get a chair and try doing a couple crunches, 5 to 10 in the beginning to make sure you don’t pull anything. Don’t worry you can always add to it as the weeks go on.

Try running, walking or jogging outside. Not only will this boost up your energy but it’ll also help get your spirits up, especially if you’ve been inside all day. Remember, if you are going for a walk to always bring a drink with you. You don’t want to dehydrate out there. Always make sure that you are wearing comfortable shoes, before you leave the house. If you didn’t always run, ask your doctor if you can. Sometimes a doctor may suggest you walk around the block at first and increase it from there, if you didn’t always do it before you were pregnant.

If you can you may want to try going for a swim or try bicycling. However, if you find that you are accident prone you may want to stay away from the bike. A bike accident is something that can easily happen, even when you’ve always road a bike. Swimming can help you relax and stay cool. Take a dip in the pool near you, they may even have a swim class for pregnant women in your area. This would be a great way to meet other moms.

Whenever you are doing exercises, make sure you aren’t overdoing it. If you believe you could be stop immediately and take a break. You never want to do anything that’ll harm the pregnancy.

Breastfeeding While Pregnant

Being pregnant doesn’t mean you have to stop breastfeeding your child. Long ago doctors believed it actually took nutrients away from the baby inside you, however that is not the case. Even today we have people that believe this and they will argue with you the entire time. Only you can decide if you should stop breastfeeding your toddler or not. Don’t let someone else make that decision for you.

Reasons to Stop

A few reasons you might want to stop breastfeeding may be if you are feeling constantly drained of energy. Or maybe your child has started to bite. Sometimes your milk will just dry up, this is your body’s way of telling you that it has had enough and to take a break. Mastitis could play a big role in making you stop immediately as well. Mastitis is an infection in the breast when it isn’t expressed enough and gets engorged.

Stopping or Weaning

If you do plan on stopping because you are pregnant, make sure it is for the right reasons. If your child has reached a certain age, it might be best. But never just yank it away from them. Your child could wonder why it is being taken away. Wonder if they had done something or become discouraged about the new baby coming. Some children decide to wean themselves, which is a big help to you and you won’t feel so guilty about it. You can choose to do it cold turkey, or slowly wean him/her off. Cold turkey can have some bad results. Try limiting his/her feeding times to certain hours and gradually as time passes take away more. Your child will quickly stop on his/her own and it won’t be a traumatic event.

Continuing to Feed

If you do plan on continuing to breastfeed while you are pregnant, talk with your doctor about it. Not all the time will the doctor agree with your decision. Sometimes he/she may see something in your health that you don’t. Listen carefully and find out if it is a health reason or simply his/her own belief. If it is the doctors belief, you can always seek out one that agrees with you. Being pregnant is hard enough at times, knowing you have someone in your corner will only relieve the stress. Don’t be surprised if your family and friends want to say something about it and they will probably give you all kind of advice on how to stop and what they’ve read. Nicely explain to them it is your decision and you’ll do what you think is best for your children. Try finding a support group in your area so you have someone to vent to or talk about these issues. Check out if there is a La Leche League near you or online that you can join.

Remember that as long as you take proper care of yourself and your body, you’ll be able to safely breastfeed while pregnant.

A Guide To Pregnancy

The first step of your pregnancy, after seeing the little positive stick should to have it confirmed. Call immediately to have a pregnancy test done with your local doctor, you may be in luck and get in that same day or have to wait about a week or two. Patience will become your best friend during this time or your worst enemy, waiting can become a very hard thing when you want to know for sure whether you are or aren't pregnant. More than likely you'll get a phone call a few days later to confirm it.

Set up an appointment to see your OB/GYN or midwife as soon as possible, chances are you'll be meeting his/her staff before you ever meet them. This is the first appointment where your doctor/midwife will want to know all your medical history. If you’ve been pregnant, what types of sicknesses run in your family, etc. If you can, try making sure you know all of this ahead of time, maybe even have it all down on paper so when he/she asks you are prepared. During the days or weeks leading up to this meeting you may have concerns, write them down and ask them. Believe it or not doctors are there to help you, and they’ve been asked every question you can possibly think of. Before leaving your doctor may even give you a bag full of goodies all about being pregnant. Read these, they may prove beneficial and not to mention they’ve got coupons. Your doctor will either give you another appointment or have you set one up before leaving. There are some great books out there if you are really worried about what will happen next or how birth is going to be, check them out at your local library.

Make sure that you get your prenatal vitamins, they are very important during pregnancy. If for some reason you can’t take them, talk with your doctor he/she may be able to prescribe a lower dosage or something else. You’ll get your first ultrasound, also known as US around week 20, this is normally when you find out what sex the baby is. However some doctors like to call it safe and give you an ultrasound around 10-12 weeks just to make sure the baby is in the proper location and all is going well. You will also be asked to take an orange drink that you must drink in five minutes. You’ll wait around for an hour to three hours, at which point your blood gets drawn and you can go home. The test determines if you have or have a chance of getting gestational diabetes.

At first your appointments will be about 4 weeks apart until you hit the 36 week and at that point it’ll be two weeks later and a week later after that until the baby is born. By now you should be preparing to have the baby. Yes, I’m sure you’ll have some anxiety towards the end of your pregnancy. You’ve went this far, it’s time you see your reward.

How to prevent Breast Cancer

By Reeva Jackson

The most common form of cancer in women is breast cancer. This is one of the most common types of cancer in general. It is estimated that one in seven women that live to age 90 will develop breast cancer. It is especially prevalent in some families, making the statistics a bit skewed. If you have a family history of breast cancer, your chances of developing the disease are much greater. It's therefore a good idea to stay especially vigilant for breast cancer symptoms. Breast cancer symptoms don't often manifest themselves until the cancer is already in its later stages of growth, and may have already metastasized to other more vital areas of the body. That is why it is so important for women to regularly get checked. Mammograms may be unpleasant, but late stage breast cancer symptoms are worse.

There are two new reports by cancer prevention specialists at Moores Cancer Center, Univsrsity of California, suggest that vitamin D in new prescriptions may prevent up to one half of all cases of breast cancer.

The study is published online in the current issue of The Journal of Steroid Biochemistry and Molecular Biology. It pooled data from two earlier studies by the Harvard Nurses Health Study and the St. George's Hospital Study that alleged that people with the highest levels of 25-hydroxyvitamin D, 25(OH)D, had the lowest incidences of breast cancer.

The research was based on 1,760 cases of individuals in the two studies and divided them into five equal groups, from the lowest 25(OH)D at less than 13 nanograms per milliliter, to the highest group with 52 nanograms per milliliter.

The terrible long wait is over and the bad news has been delivered-you have breast cancer. Now what, are you going to die? What happens next? There are literally dozens of questions and fears bouncing around in your head and you might be frozen with fear. Remember that you are not alone and that literally thousands of other women have already dealt with this terrible disease and survived to live many long and productive years.

The road to getting better is a long one that you must endure, but it is not one that you will travel alone. Your family, friends, and doctors will be there to help you and do not be afraid to reach out and ask for help. You are not weak or helpless, you are sick and people want to help but they just do not know how-so be ready to ask!

The most clear and common breast cancer symptom is of course a lump in your breast. It is important to keep in mind that not all lumps are cancerous. Most women will develop numerous lumps in their breasts throughout their lives; they are especially common during periods of rapid hormonal changes such as puberty, and menstruation. Some women will have more lumps than others.

A more severe breast cancer symptom will be pain in your breasts. A cancer that has grown large enough to impinge on nerves will be a noticeable lump in a self check or mammogram, so hopefully you'll catch anything before it gets to the point of causing pain. If one or both of your breasts are in pain, again its important to keep in mind that you don't necessarily have breast cancer. During puberty and periods of hormone fluxes, tenderness of the breasts is common. Also pregnancy, and some medications can cause pain or tenderness in your breasts.

Causes Of Endometriosis

by

Endometriosis is largely a mystery. While it is true that scientists and doctors understand how the condition progresses, the symptoms it creates, and even how to treat it, the rationale behind its actual cause is not fully understood. In fact, it is true that there may be several potential causes of endometriosis. It is also possible that the cause of endometriosis may be a combination of several different factors or just one. Different people may develop endometriosis for different reasons. What can be ascertained from current information and research is that endometriosis is not even close to being fully understood.
When discussing the cause of endometriosis, it is important to realize that there may be many different causes. As scientists and researchers continue to unravel the double-helix of the human genome, it is becoming increasingly en vogue to attribute the cause of a myriad of conditions to genetic information. Heredity is a leading theory of the development of endometriosis. In fact, the chance of developing endometriosis increases for women when a close blood relative has also developed the disorder.
Another possible cause of endometriosis may be due to several environmental factors. It is understood that since environmental pollution is higher than it has ever been throughout human history that excess toxins may be responsible for a variety of health related conditions. It could be that mercury, lead, and other heavy metals in the air and water contribute to the onset of endometriosis.
Furthermore, there are a large number of potentially hazardous chemicals in the environment that may put the immune system in a weakened state. It is not surprising then, that another possible cause of endometriosis may be the failure of the immune system to adequately fight off hostile invaders. If you know anything about immunology you would understand that the immune system is constantly under attack. If endometriosis is caused by some kind of auto-immune reaction or a pathogenic organism, then the functionality of the immune system may hold the key to the condition. Therefore, it is important for women with endometriosis to keep their immune system functioning at top levels through maintaining a balanced diet and taking regular exercise.
It is also believed that an over production of estrogen may be the linked to endometriosis. Estrogen is a female hormone and since only females develop endometriosis, it may be the key to understanding this potentially severe and incurable condition. When hormones are out of balance the body is not properly regulated. This can lead to a host of problems. Hormone imbalances may be to blame for endometriosis as well as a variety of other conditions.
The causes of endometriosis may not be fully understood, however, the theories available seem to logically fit. It may be that all these factors work in conjunction with one another in some way or that one of these causes stands alone. Only time, solid research, and the evolution of medical understanding will provide the answers scientists so desperately seek.

Why Use A Sports Bra?

by

Many people equate the use of a sports bra with someone who is highly athletic such as a runner or someone who participates in a great deal of sports activities. Though this is the general belief of many women, this is not factual information. Any woman who participates in even regular exercise should invest in a sports bra. A good sports bra is just as important as a good pair of the proper type of shoes for the purpose, yet 73% of women who exercise on a regular basis are not wearing them.
There are a great deal of myths that exist concerning the care of the breasts. One of these is that the breast has no muscles. The fact is that glandular tissue and fat comprises most of the female breast, which is held in position by very delicate ligaments. This means that an excessive movement of the breast such as that which occurs during exercise causes strain on these ligaments. Over time, the ligaments will stretch, and in the long term, the breasts will begin to sag. Once the ligaments stretch, there is no exercise that will return the breasts to their former position. Even if you have small breasts, exercise will cause a movement of 40mm away from the body, so the need for support during exercise is important no matter what size breasts you have.
Another problem that is the result of inadequate breast support is sore and tender breasts following exercise. A survey conducted of general practitioner’s showed that 80% agree that the support of a sports bra will reduce stress on the ligaments and help delay the long-term sagging breasts. Though many women are of the mistaken notion that an ordinary, everyday bra can provide the same support, studies have shown that breast movement is reduced by only 38% as opposed to 74% when a sports bra is worn.
If you are athletic or even exercise regularly, you should certainly invest in a sports bra in order to prevent the movement of your breast during periods of activity or exercise. It is also a welcome addition after childbirth when it is recommended that you keep your bra on twenty-four hours a day since a sports bra is much more comfortable for sleeping and prevents the breasts from moving around during sleep.
The use of sports bras among women is grossly underutilized, especially among those who regularly exercise. If this is not changed within a very short time frame, the future is going to show an increase in the number of women with weak and sagging breasts. The time to work toward preventing this is in the early years of life before any permanent damage has been done. As already stated, no exercise is going to reverse stretched ligaments that are the result of a lack of support. The solution to the problem is prevention rather than cure. Keeping this in mind be sure that before you attend your next exercise session, you purchase a well-fitting sports bra that will reduce the amount of breast movement as you work out or perform sports.

It is important to get regular checkups after your baby is born to eliminate biological reasoning for the postpartum depression.
In most cases, doctors may prescribe Valiums, Prozac, or Zoloft. It depends on the person, but for some mothers one or the other medications work, while others have no results. If you are suffering postpartum depression, it is also important for the family to offer support and understanding.
Since, you may have suicidal thoughts the last thing anyone needs to do is push you over the edge. It is also important that the resentment you feel is not necessary toward your baby. It could be that you resent an area of your life, or an occurrence and the baby seems to be the target.
You might want to try listening to easy music when you feel a sense of loss, or episodes of the diagnose erupt. Music has proven to heal the soul. In addition, you might want to start exercising since this too has proven to do wonders with people that suffer mental or physical illnesses. Can Toxic Shock Syndrome Affect Anyone?

by

You may have heard about the illness toxic shock syndrome (TSS) from magazines or from friends, but do you know why it is important to be aware of this illness? Would you recognize the symptoms? TSS is an extremely rare but potentially serious illness that can affect anyone.
Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a serious but uncommon bacterial infection. TSS was originally linked to the use of tampons, but it is now also known to be associated with the contraceptive sponge and diaphragm birth control methods. In rare cases, TSS has resulted from wounds or surgery incisions where bacteria have been able to enter the body and cause the infection.
Anyone can get TSS – men, women and children. Half the reported cases of TSS are associated with women using tampons; half result from localized infections, for example following burns, boils, insect bites or surgery. The risk of TSS is greater in younger people. This is because older people are more likely to have the necessary antibodies to protect them from the toxin that causes TSS.
Toxic shock syndrome (TSS) is a type of blood poisoning that will make you feel severely ill very quickly. TSS is a rare but potentially serious illness that can develop quickly in anyone – men, women and children.
TSS is caused by the common bacteria – Staphylococcus aureus – which normally live harmlessly on the skin and in the nose, armpit, groin or vagina of one in every three people. In rare cases certain strains of these bacteria can produce toxins (poisons) that cause TSS.
With early diagnosis TSS can be treated with antibiotics to kill the Staphylococcus aureus bacteria, and other medicines which help counteract the symptoms.
You can reduce your chances of getting toxic shock syndrome by changing your tampon frequently, at least every four to eight hours. Use the lowest absorbency tampon you can and try to alternate using tampons and sanitary napkins whenever possible.
Toxic shock syndrome can recur. People who've had it once can get it again. If you've had toxic shock syndrome or a prior staph infection, don't use tampons at all.

How to get Pregnant? Important things you want to Know

by Jeff Netsite

I remember back when I was a kid that I used to visit my friends dad at his clinic whenever he has no patient. My friends father is an "OB-GYNE" and in his clinic, there are these posters that have a drawing of a pregnant woman and the parts inside her womb (that includes the baby). And it made me think how a baby is being form inside a woman's belly. Did I mention I was only a kid back then when I started thinking about these things? There was even a time that I thought the moment a man and a woman kiss, instantly, the woman gets pregnant (I blame the movie for this). But as I mature, I learned how it is being done and how I can avoid getting someone pregnant if I'm neither me or the girl are not ready yet.
These days, a lot of problems regarding pregnancy are arising. These include a huge growth in the population of other countries such as India, China, and even the Philippines. Another one is unplanned pregnancy that normally happens with teenagers. Aside from the unplanned pregnancy issue, there is also the difficulty of other women who wants to get pregnant. There are a lot of reasons why a woman can't get pregnant. It can be that the woman is at her age where it is hard to conceive, or either the wife or the husband has a problem with their reproductive organ, and lastly, the lack of education on how to get pregnant. For the unplanned pregnancy, it would be how to avoid getting pregnant or getting someone pregnant.
I read some articles regarding how to get pregnant. According to them, getting pregnant is not easy as everyone thinks (I'm still thinking whether I should agree on that statement). They also said that aside from proper timing (this refers to the woman being fertile), there are also a few important practices that will help women on getting pregnant. One important practice is for the woman to be healthy and eliminating anything in life that may cause damage to fertility. Next is learning when the woman is most fertile. According to my friend who is a doctor, usually on the 14th day of her menstrual cycle is the day women are fertile.
Next step is making s e x productive and at the same time, have dun doing it. Get this, according to "Dr. Donnica Moore, the missionary position is more likely to get a woman pregnant". Another important thing to know is that "if you have s e x every day during your fertile period, you have a 25 percent chance of getting pregnant, according to Dr. Allen Wilcox". Lastly, "If you have s e x after you ovulate, you aren't likely to get pregnant, says WebMD." Another website that you can visit is "yougettingpregnant.com" where you can read stories about women who got pregnant in spite their difficulty of conceiving. If all of the people can learn about this, I'm sure we can have fewer problems in our community.

Endometriosis Vs. Fertility

by

For many women, the idea of cradling their own adorable newborn is the greatest dream in life. Starting a family is often the natural progression of a marriage, and for many couples, it is something that happens quickly and naturally. For some women, however, conceiving a child can be a difficult, stressful process. Women suffering from endometriosis know this all too well.
Endometriosis is a fairly common condition in women. However, many women are not aware of what a diagnosis of endometriosis means for a person suffering from the condition. It can have a number of negative affects on a woman’s health and well being, one of the primary side-effects being issues of infertility. A condition which causes the tissue lining the uterus to grow into other areas of the body, endometriosis can cause discomfort, pain, bleeding between menstrual cycles, and infertility.
Although not all infertility issues are linked to endometriosis, more than one third of women suffering from infertility suffer from endometriosis. Many women who are having trouble conceiving enlist the aid of a gynecologist. If endometriosis is identified as the source of the problem, a doctor can suggest a course of treatment.
Every month, a woman’s ovaries produce certain hormones that act as stimulants to the lining of your uterus. These cells multiply and prepare themselves for the arrival of a fertilized egg. As this happens, the uterine lining swells and becomes thicker. However, if these endometrial cells are implanted in places outside the uterus, problems begin to occur.
Like your normal cells, cells outside of the uterus still respond to the hormone stimulation that occurs on a monthly basis. For cells in the uterus, this is not a problem since the cells fall off during menstruation. The other cells, outside the uterus are not shed. They stay in place.
One of the reasons infertility occurs as a result of endometriosis is because this process of tissues staying in place can cause both adhesions and scarring in the fallopian tubes and ovaries. Aside from interfering with ovulation, these adhesions make it difficult for reproductive cells to pass from the ovaries and into the fallopian tube. The pathway for a fertilized egg to pass into the uterus becomes obstructed, making it hard for a woman to become pregnant.
Unfortunately, endometriosis is a progressive disease, meaning that it often worsens over time. Even after treatment, conditions can persist and intensify. Many infertile women undergo an outpatient procedure called a laparoscopy. This procedure allows your gynecologist to diagnose whether you suffer from endometriosis and assess the seriousness of your disorder. Ranging in severity from stage 1-4, the classification of your endometriosis will be the factor from which your gynecologist decides on a mode of treatment. He will advise medication, surgery, or a combination of the two.
For many women, the issue of infertility due to endometriosis is an every day battle. The good news is that medical advances are constantly being made as researchers and physicians strive to find a cure for this problematic disorder. With so many new treatments and medications available, there is renewed hope for women who suffer from endometriosis.

How To Treat High Blood Pressure In Pregnancy?

by

High blood pressure is a malady that is associated with several complications. In some cases hypertension nurtures complications or diseases while in others it is a by product of various complications and physical states of humans.
A woman on family way has been often found afflicted with high blood pressure. The cause of this hypertension is also debatable like other types of hypertensions. Well, there could be two or three possible reasons of it. Wherein, the most prominent one is preeclampsia.
In case of this pregnancy induced hypertension, initially you witness a surge in systolic BP by thirty mm and diastolic BP by twenty mm. Presence of protein contents in urine confirms this type of hypertension.
It is just because of this preeclampsia resulted hypertension a pregnant is constantly required to keep track of blood pressure. This blood pressure complication usually arises in mid pregnancy. Women who have conceived for the first time are very much susceptible to preeclampsia. Pregnancy in late thirties or forties may also be a cause of such high blood pressure.
Among most pregnant women this preeclampsia propelled surge in BP is witnessed after six or seven months of pregnancy. This high blood pressure usually prevails till the delivery. Once the child is borne the hypertension lowers down and vanishes within few days. If a woman suffers a greater surge in blood pressure in her later stage of pregnancy, cesarean delivery before the scheduled date of delivery remains the only option. For, only the delivery would result in normalcy of blood pressure.
Although a less severe case of preeclampsia is difficult to be identified, a reasonably higher level of preeclampsia hypertension could be identified with constant headache, frequent vomiting, dizziness and blurring of vision.
A pregnant woman must be informed of various symptoms of this hypertension so that she could take immediate action once she finds herself with these symptoms.
This hypertension originates probably due to placental disorder. It is said that placental blood vessels constricts to result in hypertension. Women may also suffer from this complication due to less than required intake of various vitamins and nutrients that are essential during pregnancy. Some hormonal disorders may also contribute to this hypertension.
All in all, I would suggest all pregnant women to take preventive measures for preeclampsia as it adds to the ordeal of being pregnant.

Simple Post-Partum Depression Cures

by

Post-Partum Depression is a debilitating, albeit extremely common, condition that affects new mothers everywhere. Medication is of course one of the standard remedies, but before you opt for it, there are other, simpler solutions which could very well get you back on your feet without modifying your metabolism.. Here are several of them, drawn from accounts of actual users:

> Go to bed early and try to get a good night’s sleep
> Lie down next to your heater vent and feel its comforting warmth
> Stroll in the park amongst the ducks, watching what they do
> Do things with your hands, perhaps a craft
> Work in the garden, watering plants and pulling up weeds; each is calming in its own way
> Buy yourself a fancy cup of coffee, savor it’s fine taste and aroma
> Play with your kids and make plans with them for what you will do together when you are feeling better
> See a therapist regularly and make sure you are totally candid with him
> See a doctor regularly and make sure you are totally candid with him
> Stay away from alcohol and other depressants

> Have a relaxing bubble bath or a shower with something sweet to eat and drink; play soothing music while you are bathing
> Keep a journal about your feelings: it helps to externalize them
> Exercise regularly: this releases feel-good chemicals (endorphins) into your bloodstream
> Join and participate in online forums for post-partum depression; discuss your problem with others who have it, seek their advice and enjoy the comfort of a loving community
> Take part in activities with family and friends
> Read a good book
> Go visiting
> Call a close friend and talk to her/him
> Go for a drive
> Bake something; this will direct your attention to a subject other than parenting and refresh your mind
> Call your mom and talk to her about your problem. This could be the single most effective therapy for your situation, because she loves you, is deeply concerned about you and will make time to listen to you
> Ask your mom to visit for some days. She could help with your chores and thus create some personal time for you to do the other things mentioned here
> Put baby in her stroller and go out for a walk
> Let yourself wallow for a bit with no pressure and all pleasure - stay in your PJs, eat junk food, mope a bit
> Cuddle with your kids and if you feel like it, have a good cry while doing so. Realize there are people who truly love you (can't help but feel happy when your kids are giggling and rolling on the floor with you)
> Go to the beach if there is one nearby – look at the ocean and breathe the sea air
> Go shopping (nothing like good old-fashioned retail therapy!), or go window-shopping
> Have a long, deep chat with your dear husband, followed by a long, long cuddle and sweet kisses!
